Welcome to ATC-13
On behalf of the Federation of Asian Professional Textile Associations (FAPTA), it is a great honour that Australia’s Deakin University and Australia’s Technical Textiles and Non Wovens Association will host the 13th Asian Textiles Conference, ATC-13, in Geelong, Victoria, Australia from 3 to 6 November 2015. ATC is one of the world-leading conferences in the textile and fibre field and takes place biannually at Asian countries in turn.
Geelong, the ATC-13 host city, is an exciting regional city in Australia. This beautiful coastal town on Port Phillip Bay is rich in culture, with vibrant world-class restaurants, theatres and galleries and beautiful parks and coastal landscapes. We have a strong science and research community and, best of all, you will find the people warm and welcoming.
ATC-13 will be an open forum to highlight the latest research achievements on all aspects related to convergence technology in technical textiles and fibres as well as all traditional and contemporary textiles. We hope to provide global scientists and researchers in all textile fields with the platform to share new knowledge, set directions and goals for the progress of textile science and engineering for the next decade.
Furthermore, the conference will give you a special opportunity to visit the Australian Future Fibres Research and Innovation Centre, including Carbon Nexus, the unique open-access carbon fibre / composite research facility opened in 2014 at Deakin University in Geelong.
On behalf of the organising committee, I urge you to consider presenting your work at this highly regarded conference.
Please register using the form below to receive news and updates on the conference as planning and the program progress.
We look forward to welcoming you to the conference, and Australia, in November 2015.
