It is our great pleasure to invite you to Hong Kong for the 5th Asian Protective Clothing Conference (APCC 2014), which will be jointly held with the 7th Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Symposium (TBIS 2014), in 6~8 August 2014 in Hong Kong. The APCC 2014 aims to set up a unique global stage and platform for people in the whole supply chain and community of protective clothing with common interests in conducting research, developing testing methods and standards and providing high quality products and services.
The theme of the conference is “Personal Protection and Health'. Due to the critical challenges in population increase, population aging, environmental pollution and exhaustion of resources, personal protection and health and environmental sustainability have become the key concerns and focusing issues in the society. Innovations in the whole supply chains of textile and apparel industry can make significant impact on these key issues, including material innovations, textile and apparel manufacturing technology innovations, design innovations, marketing and business innovations and industrial cluster management innovations.

The following main topics will be discussed in the conference:
- Personal protective equipment
- Materials and treatment
- Evaluation methods, standards and instrument
- Mathematical modeling and analysis
- Design and product innovations
